
Dr. Ka Yee So received both her bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics and her doctorate in Optometry with honors in amblyopia research from the University of California, Berkeley.
During her clinical rotations, she trained at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute pediatric clinic, Veteran Affairs hospital, and Marin community clinic. Before working at East Bay Ophthalmology, Dr. So worked at La Clinica de La Raza at a school-based health clinic in Oakland. There she assisted in establishing clinical operations and creating a vision therapy program. She now assists Dr. Lee with ongoing research studies and the iCare project.
In her spare time, Dr. So enjoys rock climbing, making music, and serving at her church with friends.
