Dr. John Pyun was a Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship recipient and graduated with distinction with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. 

 

He graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He was chosen as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Upon graduation, he received the Merck Manual Award for academic excellence.

After earning his medical degree, Dr. Pyun finished his transitional year at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego and then completed his ophthalmology training at the Loma Linda Eye Institute.

 

Dr. Pyun is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care and is interested in global health. 

 

In his free time, he is an avid 49ers fan, coffee enthusiast, and enjoys searching for his lost balls while golfing.
